Pakistani entrepreneurs have evinced interest to launch joint venture textile projects with Beximco Textiles Limited, a fully export-oriented company of Beximco Group. The expression of interest came when a Pakistani textile delegation, led by Pakistan Bedwear Exporters Association Chairman Shabir Ahmed, visited Beximco Textiles' factory recently. The factory is South Asia's largest cotton-to-garment vertical textile complex. Beximco Textiles Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Syed Naved Husain welcomed the delegation and briefed them on the Beximco Group. | factory's various units and the design and product development centre. They appreciated its operations, production quality and the technical edge it enjoys over other competitors.
"The Pakistani delegates are eyeing avenues for joint venture with Beximco Textiles," said Husain. Beximco Textiles is a state-of-the-art weaving, dyeing and finishing mill of the country. It was incorporated in March, 1994 and started commercial operation by the middle of 1995. Major buyers of Bexim Textiles include JC Penney, Levi's, PVH, Perry Ellis, Haddad, Docker's, Graphic Design and Cotton Group of the USA. Besides, it has European buyers like H & M, Zara, Henbury, Docker's, Carrefour, BHS, Gulden Pfenig, OBS, Orsay (Asop), Kappahl and Matalan.
