Orient Craft Limited has proposed to set up a textile SEZ in Hyderabad at an investment of nearly Rs 2,000 crore. Andhra Govt’s recent proactive initiatives and policies to attract investment in the textile and garment sector have generated good interest from the industry. | this year, said that the proposed SEZ requires about 300 acres of land to facilitate manufacturing bases for nearly 50 garment companies.
In addition, A P government has allotted 10 acres each to Gokaldas Exports, Orient Craft and Shahi Exports at the Nacharam Industrial Development Area (IDA) to set up garment manufacturing and export operations. The three companies are expected to create 4,500 jobs.
