Control agreement for textile export to the European Union, which has been modified, will take effect from March 15, the Commerce, Industry & Technology Bureau said here on January 06. Further, added that exports which include re-exports, will require either a consignment-specific export

| licence or a textiles notification under the textiles Trader Registration Scheme to cover each consignment. Cut-and-sewn garments will also be subject to the Production Notification requirement.
The modified arrangements will strengthen the control of textile exports to the EU against illegal transshipment and will preserve trade interests.
