Gujarat Heavy Chemicals Ltd (GHCL) is eyeing on overseas acquisitions of US and Europe based companies dealing in home textiles. According to news, the company is on the verge of acquiring at least four large home textile companies in the US and Europe in the coming

| months. This would cost the company in excess of US$100 million. The company is also preparing a plan to expand its existing capacities and move up the value chain at its Vapi location. In addition, GHCL to invest Rs. 2300 million in a greenfield textile projects near Vapi which is expected to be commissioned by March 2006.
