Textile Forum – Emerging Opportunities…the Road Ahead’, and ‘Organized retail: Opportunities in Andhra Pradesh’ are the two major conferences to be organized by The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII)-southern region to be held in Hyderabad in the last week of this month.

The conference will be held in association with the Andhra Pradesh government on November 24-25 and will focus on strategies for the textile industry to face global challenges, efficiency and tapping opportunities. The conference is also expected to bring out a vision document for the textile center in Andhra Pradesh in the conference.

The CII-SR is organizing a one-day conference on the retail sector for the first time as the organized retail sector is expected to grow rapidly along

with the increase in population growth and number of jobs in the city.

The conference on ‘Organised retail: Opportunities in Andhra Pradesh’, will analyse the international scenario in the retail sector as compared to the rest of the country and identify the opportunities available in tier-II cities. It also aims to concentrate on the opportunities and challenges in the organized retail sector in Andhra Pradesh and pave way for the future.

CII-SR recently finished a road show on Excon 2005 – an international exhibition-cum-conference on ‘Construction Equipment and Technologies’, to be organised at Bangalore between November 30 and December 4, here on Saturday.

The exhibition supposed to last for 5 days will feature a wide variety of equipment, technology and products for Indian customers with specific emphasis on efficiency, productivity and safety.
