Textile Forum – Emerging Opportunities…the Road Ahead’, and ‘Organized retail: Opportunities in Andhra Pradesh’ are the two major conferences to be organized by The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII)-southern region to be held in Hyderabad in the last week of this month.
The conference will be held in association with the Andhra Pradesh government on November 24-25 and will focus on strategies for the textile industry to face global challenges, efficiency and tapping opportunities. The conference is also expected to bring out a vision document for the textile center in Andhra Pradesh in the conference.
The CII-SR is organizing a one-day conference on the retail sector for the first time as the organized retail sector is expected to grow rapidly along

| with the increase in population growth and number of jobs in the city.
The conference on ‘Organised retail: Opportunities in Andhra Pradesh’, will analyse the international scenario in the retail sector as compared to the rest of the country and identify the opportunities available in tier-II cities. It also aims to concentrate on the opportunities and challenges in the organized retail sector in Andhra Pradesh and pave way for the future.
CII-SR recently finished a road show on Excon 2005 – an international exhibition-cum-conference on ‘Construction Equipment and Technologies’, to be organised at Bangalore between November 30 and December 4, here on Saturday.
The exhibition supposed to last for 5 days will feature a wide variety of equipment, technology and products for Indian customers with specific emphasis on efficiency, productivity and safety.
