It is predicted that UK will make its strong presence at the forthcoming Techtextil North America, which will take place at Atlanta from March 28-30, 2006. At this show, the British Wool Textile Export Corporation (BWTEC) is coordinating in making arrangements for a UK Pavilion at the show, as USA has been identified as a market where substantial growth levels can be achieved by Western European technical textile. UK companies are being provided with an ideal opportunity to capitalise on the already-strong image of the country's technical textiles industry with support available from a number of Regional Development Agencies. The UK Pavilion will be close to the main entrance, at a prime site in front of the exhibition hall and will incorporate a central hospitality area together with individual stand units around

| its perimeter. Each individual stand unit will be fully equipped with walls, lighting, carpeting, company name sign, table, 4 chairs, lockable cupboard and electrical connections. BWTEC will not only arrange stand space booking and Pavilion construction, but will also provide a comprehensive support package for the participating companies. This will include pre-event publicity of the British group; production and distribution of a British group brochure; production and distribution of media information pack; group freight of exhibits; travel/accommodation package; telephone and fax facilities on UK Pavilion; group dinner in Atlanta; and also networking reception on stand. UK exporting companies are very keen to register immediately to ensure they benefit from this support available to tackle the vast US market but they have not yet finalised their Techtextil USA plans.
