3rd Dhaka International Textile & Garments Machinery Exhibition begins in the city on Wednesday 08 February. With a view to demonstrate new apparel products and technology and exploit business opportunities, a three-day exhibition has been organised.
Mr. M. A. Awal, President of Bangladesh Textile Mills Association (BTMA) said, “The exposition will be an ideal platform for both the buyers and sellers,” at a press conference at his office on 06 February.

The BTMA and the ES Event Management SDN BHD, a Malaysia based international event management company will jointly organise the exposition. About 236 firms, which is double the number compared to previous year, from 22 countries, including USA, Germany, Switzerland, France, Italy, Japan, Korea, Singapore, China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, UK, Spain and the host Bangladesh, are participating in


the exhibition in 500 booths with world-class textiles & garment machineries. They will showcase various textile-related products ranging from textile to garment and embroidery to knitting machinery and processing equipment and accessories. Mr. Awal said,

“Countries that are highly developed in textile will be taking part in the exposition. This surely will enable our textile producers to come in direct contact with textile experts from developed countries to be converged here in one place.” Mr. Shahjahan Siraj, Jute and Textile Minister is expected to inaugurate the exhibition as the chief guest at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre while Chairman of Board of Investment (BoI) Mr. Mahmudur Rahman will be present as special guest. Vice-president of BTMA Didar A Husain, Managing director of ES Event Management SDN BHD Chong Chong Tik, Yorkers Trade & Marketing Service Co General Manager Tiger Lin were present, among others, in the occasion.
